Roger Moore was always my favorite James Bond, 007 . Connery was good, but the violence in his
007 movies was too much. I'm squeamish. I know. This movie, with the voodoo, the american locations,
and the inventive 'gadgetry' make this one an easy favorite.

Disco was alive before this film came out. But it definitely got a boost in popularity from the film.
Probably in reality, the material was too watered down for the average daily life of these guys.
The music, those clothes, the freedom of the characters is outstanding. It wasn't about just
looking cool, you had to be cool. And that is a respectable quality.

The Fog is a spooky movie. The warm voice of the radio DJ, and that soothing music. Pow!
Here comes the creepy cold , and what lies in the darkness of the fog ? Certainly not

At one time, I had the movie poster for Cheech and Chongs Up In Smoke in my bedroom. My parents hated it.

Coming in between Saturday night Fever and Grease, this movie genuinely flopped . But the best part about
Sgt Peppers is the music. It has to be obvious by the story, the plot, and the props, forget
all that proper movie making stuff, "rock n' roll'
is the theme here. And the BeeGees were outstanding in their performance of the music.

Yul Brynner as the run amok robotic cowboy. This tends to get boring, yet the theme and the actors provide
such a great interpretation, that you hardly notice. Robots gone mad has always been a prominent theme.

The Andromeda Strain was a movie I watched with my dad many years ago. It was just one of those, late-night,
nothing better to do kind of movies. Years later, it stands out as a great film in my opinion.
The acting was tough, the lines were dull, and the actors were fairly plain. The plot was flat.
But somehow, they managed to produce a decent movie.

There is something about Lee Marvin and hobos riding trains. With his young tag-along, A#1 is out to ride the train to
glory. The Shack is a tough old conductor, who will have none of it. The scenic beauty of the ride to Portland is
good. The trains are a nice reminder of a time before automobiles where ever-present.

If you ever wanted to know what 1970s talk radio sounded like, this film has plenty of it.Yuck.
What would you do if some trucker, followed you too closely, pushed you off the road, and basically
just made an ass of himself, for no reason ? You would cheer as the SOB drove his big-rig over a cliff.

Every so often, we get a remake of the classic King Kong. The seventies version, with Jeff Bridges, really portrays
the culture and people of the 1970s. Apart from all that corporate greed. Watching kong die was not fun,
but he sure had a good-looking girlfriend.

I'm asking myself, why did I rate this so low ? It's comedy. Take it or leave it. This is one of the
best and most memorable of the Monty Python features. I'm listing 10 movies, and the importance of
them changes from day-to-day. You don't see any numbers. So this could be 11th, or 20th.

This is THE scary movie of the 70s. There is a good reason why nobody has heard of it.
It's something you don't talk about. You see it at a midnight theatre. You think to yourself,
that's pretty far out there. It's an awesome movie.
